LSESU Labour is the largest political society at LSE. We lay on events every week, attracting the best speakers on the left to keep members at the heart of our movement.
ABOUT US
Joining a political society is really the best way to meet like-minded people. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to become involved in the front line of student politics, fighting for what you believe in on campus and beyond.
As you might know, LSE was founded on the principles of Fabian socialism. However, parts of LSE can sometimes appear to have become a hotbed of corporate greed. As a society, we seek to challenge, on campus and in the wider community, entrenched inequality, discrimination and exploitation. From Bevan to Blair we've got you covered.
We’re a society for everyone: from those heavily invested in politics and longstanding Labour members to people just starting to explore their political beliefs, and everything in between. Join us for political panels and debates, topical round table discussions, pub trips, canvassing, pizza nights and much more.
MEMBERSHIP
Buying membership is a great way to begin or consolidate your time in the Labour movement. Becoming a member allows you access to our mailing list so you’ll be the first to find out about our events. You can also vote in our elections, from nominations to committee positions.
Your membership fee also enables us to improve the events we host for you: all of the money goes back into events and campaigns throughout the year providing (amongst other things) food and drinks at our socials and generally having good times.
