Join us for an exciting panel event that will focus on discussing factors shaping youth political engagement across Europe, with a particular emphasis on the UK and the EU. This panel will feature speakers from diverse professional backgrounds, as well as varying age demographics and experiences with youth political engagement.
Topics discussed will include the changing political preferences of today’s youth in the context of rising populist sentiments and the cost of living crisis, institutional challenges (and potential opportunities) for youth to make a tangible impact on policymaking, and a vision for the future of youth political engagement as well as a discussion on its long-term implications for democratic governance in the UK and across Europe.
