Here at the SU, we want you to feel ready, excited and confident to lead your world-class student groups next year.

To help achieve this, we're introducing our new Development Forums throughout August and September, to empower you to take your group to the next level.

📍 Some sessions will take place online, and some in-person in the Saw Swee Hock (see ticket descriptions for details).

These small-group sessions will be completely tailored to your individual requirements. With the guidance of our expert staff, you'll have the chance to discuss:

• Your goals and ambitions for the year ahead, and find out how the SU can help you achieve them
• Different steps you can take to make your society world class
• Any worries or concerns you have about being an LSESU Student Leader
• Any questions you have about your role or the SU
• A recap of how to feel fully prepared for September!

The main part of the session will then be guided by you! When you sign up to a session, you'll be asked if there are any particular areas you'd like to discuss with the Societies Team, so that we can tailor the session to your requirements. 

For example, you may wish to ask for advice on:

• Advertising and building a membership
• What makes an engaging Welcome Fair stall
• Clarification of the event planning process (or any other aspects of the Student Leaders Conference that you'd like further guidance on)
• How to get admin rights
• How to make the most of your time on a committee
• What skills you will develop as a student leader
• Who can you invite to speak at your events
• How to look after your own wellbeing as a Student Leader

There really are no silly questions, so please ask us about anything that's unclear, or that you'd like further advice on. Don't worry, you can submit the questions anonymously if you'd like. 

By the end of these sessions, we want you to feel excited and ready for the year ahead, so please ask as many questions as you like!

Only 1 person per committee needs to attend. We'd generally expect this to be the President, but if they're unavailable then any committee member is welcome! 

On the morning of your session, you will receive an email with the online meeting link.
