LSESU Football Tournament - Celebrating Black History Month and Supporting Show Racism the Red Card
Join us this October as LSESU hosts a special 6-a-side football tournament in celebration of Black History Month, raising awareness and funds for Show Racism the Red Card (SRTRC).
Event Highlights:
- Each participant will receive a pair of red shoelaces, symbolising solidarity with the fight against racism, and are encouraged to wear them during the tournament.
- Entry is FREE
- The tournament will take place over two Tuesdays: 22nd and 29th October.
- Both dates will take place between 2pm-3pm.
- Teams of 6 will compete for the title of the inaugural SRTRC Football Champions!
- Collect your red laces from the LSESU reception desk (3rd Floor - Saw Swee Hock Building) before the tournament.

Terms & Conditions:
1. Registration: Each player must register individually. Teams must consist of 6 players.
2. Eligibility: The tournament is open to all LSE students and staff. Participants must show a valid LSE ID on match days.
3. Equipment: Appropriate football gear must be worn, including the red shoelaces provided. Shin guards are recommended.
4. Conduct: All players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect towards referees, players, and volunteers. Any form of discriminatory behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
5. Injury & Liability: LSESU will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained during the event. Players participate at their own risk and are advised to have their own insurance.
6. Match Rules: Standard 6-a-side football rules apply. Referee decisions are final.

1. How do I sign up?
- You can sign up via the LSESU events page or by visiting the LSESU office. All players must register individually, teams will be organised on the day.
2. Can I sign up without a team?
- Yes! If you don’t have a team, we will help match you with other individual players to form a team.
3. When and where will the matches take place?
- The tournament will be held over two Tuesdays: 22nd and 29th October, starting at 1pm-2pm in the Marshall Building Sports Hall.
4. Do I have to wear the red shoelaces?
- Yes, we encourage all participants to wear the red shoelaces provided, as a show of support for the campaign against racism.
5. Can I invite friends to watch?
- Absolutely! Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come and support the teams.
6. Will there be ways for me to donate to the charity?
-Yes, we will have QR codes which you can donate directly to Show Racism the Red Card!
