‘I am fortune’s fool’

In late medieval Verona, two young lovers are divided by the long-standing strife between their families. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet are instantly enamoured with each other when they meet at a masked ball, but their ancestral feud means their love cannot be accepted. Despite it all, with the help of Juliet’s nurse and Friar Lawrence, the star-crossed couple marry and attempt to move on from Verona’s lack of civility.
