On the evening of Thursday 22 October, we are hosting Peter Oborne for a public talk, 'British complicity in the destruction of Gaza', followed by an audience Q&A. Oborne is a political journalist who spent most of his career in the conservative press, at The Daily Telegraph and The Spectator, and is now associate editor of Middle East Eye. The talk draws on his recent book, Complicit: Britain's Role in the Destruction of Gaza (OR Books, 2025), and will also include an update on events in Lebanon, the West Bank, Iran and the wider region.
The event will be chaired by Professor John Chalcraft.
