Join us for LSE’s first-ever Social Mobility Summit! The Social Mobility Summit brings together LSE students and representatives from high profile organisations, across different industries.
The event will take place on the evening of Thursday, March 2nd, 2024, and will kick off with inspirational speakers, followed by networking opportunities. This event is a collaboration between LSE Students' Union and LSESU 93% Club.
The overall aim is to provide career inspiration for state educated students, and for students who have experienced barriers or adverse circumstances during their education. The conference will provide the opportunity for informal discussion with representatives of organisations, including information about routes into different industries, and the strengths and challenges of different career paths. There will be no assumption of prior knowledge or experience regarding the organisations invited or the industries they represent.
After securing a Native ticket, each attendee will receive a personalised pack via email, which includes details of the speakers, the networkers, and organsations attending, as well as more information about the event. Tickets are limited.
The LSE Social Mobility Summit is taking place in the first week of the summer term, the week before the LSE exam period begins. Therefore, we are aware students are going to be busy, and we have designed the summit with this in mind.
We are aware some students might be in take-home exams, have upcoming deadlines, or be busy with revision. That's why we have designed the summit as the perfect break, which students are likely to take anyway during the evening time. The summit takes place in the evening and is a concise 2 hours. This means students can take an exact 2-hour break in the evening and get back to their studies straight after.
You can head over to the CBG Auditorium from the LSE library for 7pm and be back by 9pm! There is no dress code, so you can come as you are. No preparation is needed for this event; you can just turn up!
