Join the LSESU Health Society for an in-person discussion and Q&A with Ben Coleman MP (Labour, Chelsea and Fulham), a member of the UK Parliament’s Health and Social Care Committee. The event will explore current issues in UK health policy, the NHS, and how healthcare legislation is shaped through parliamentary work. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear practical insights from a sitting MP and engage directly through audience questions.
Time & Location: LSE CKK 1.04, 7:30–8:30pm.
The session will be chaired by Dr. Andrew Street, Professor of Health Economics in LSE’s Department of Health Policy. Dr. Street joined LSE in 2017 after a long career at the University of York, where he served as Director of the Health Policy team at the Centre for Health Economics and Director of the Economics of Social and Health Care Research Unit (ESHCRU). He has advised health ministries in England and Australia and served as Editor of the Journal of Health Economics from 2006–2018. He will introduce and moderate the discussion and oversee the Q&A.
