The Rt Hon Sir Jeremy Hunt is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Godalming and Ash, and has held two of the great offices of state below Prime Minister across more than a decade in government.
He was Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2022 to 2024, Foreign Secretary from 2018 to 2019, and Health Secretary from 2012 to 2018, the longest tenure in the history of the NHS.
He was first appointed to Cabinet by David Cameron in 2010, as Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, and oversaw the London 2012 Olympic Games.
He first entered Parliament in 2005, and twice stood for the leadership of his party, reaching the final round of the 2019 contest. Before politics he co-founded an educational publishing company, and was knighted by the King in 2025.
He joins the Holborn Union to reflect on the Treasury, high office, and a career at the very centre of British government.
