Football and fairness: Can the game stay competitive in an era of mega-money, global ownership, and growing inequality? We’re delighted to host Raphael Honigstein at the LSE German Symposium.
Raphael Honigstein is a London-based German football journalist, author, and LSE alumnus known for his coverage of the Bundesliga and European football, including work for The Guardian and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
In our session, he will discuss how financial rules, club governance, and competitive balance shape what “fairness” means in football today, and what reforms might protect the sport’s integrity.
