Please note that this discussion will be held in German.
The German Symposium is proud to announce Dr. Dietmar Bartsch, Member of Parliament for The Left, and a leading figure of Germany’s left in the 21st century.
As former co leader of The Left’s parliamentary group and long time strategist within the party, he has helped shape its course in Berlin over two decades. Drawing on this experience, he will reflect on Germany’s Zeitenwende and what it means for the country’s political direction. We will discuss the current East West divide and the Left’s position between peace and security in today’s Europe.
We are excited to welcome him to the 25th LSE German Symposium for what promises to be a sharp and thought provoking conversation.
