The LSE Social Mobility Summit 2026 is a full-day flagship event designed to equip students with the insight, confidence, and connections to navigate elite spaces and redefine success on their own terms.
LSE Social Mobility Summit 2026
Monday 23rd March 2026 | 10:30am – 5:00pm
Shaw Library, Old Building, LSE
Hosted by the LSESU 93% Society, the Social Mobility Summit is our biggest event of the year — bringing together students, leading professionals, and national voices to have real conversations about access, opportunity, and what it truly means to level the playing field.
This year challenges traditional ideas of talent and success. We’ll explore how students from state-educated and underrepresented backgrounds can build confidence, create strong support networks, and carve out their own paths in competitive industries.
Expect:
* A keynote from a representative of the national 93% Club
* Panel 1: Redefining Access and Opportunity - hear from our panellists about the importance of increasing accessibility to high level careers and institutions, and step away from the idea that certain spaces are reserved for the ‘elite’ or those with a network
*Panel 2: Leading Figures - This panel has been organised by LSE Careers, who also run a dedicated programme of social mobility-focussed careers support. Hear from prominent professionals sharing honest stories about navigating imposter syndrome, building networks, and succeeding in elite environments.
* Lunch and dedicated networking time with speakers and peers
This Summit is primarily for university students (with most tickets allocated to LSE and London universities), alongside a select group of sixth form students from across London, creating a space that is ambitious, supportive, and forward-looking.
Whether you’re questioning your place in certain rooms, thinking about your next career step, or looking for a community that understands your journey, this day is for you.
